IGA’s Insider Live Event in Runcorn to Feature Demos from Leading Manufacturers + Q&A with the DVSA
The Independent Garage Association (IGA) will be hosting its next Insider Live event on Wednesday 21st October 2026 from 10am to 4pm at the RMI Academy of Automotive Skills in Runcorn.
The event is free to attend and is designed specifically for Independent Garage owners, who will get the chance to:
- Understand more about the membership benefits available through the IGA and HEVRA
- Learn about the opportunities that exist within the growing Hybrid and Electric Vehicle repair market – and the specialist technical support that is available for Independent Garages
- See live demonstrations from industry leading manufacturers including HELLA and VARTA
- Hear the latest updates from the DVSA and take part in a Q&A
The previous Insider Live event at the RMI Academy in Coventry was the first time the IGA have included live demonstrations from leading industry manufacturers and feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive.
The IGA are now taking the Insider Live event on the road to the RMI Academy in Runcorn to give both members and non-members an additional chance to benefit from membership updates, industry insights, live demos and a Q&A session with the DVSA.
Jon Douglas, Director of the Independent Garage Association comments, “The previous Insider Live event in Coventry was well received by our members and we were extremely pleased with how the new format worked including the live demos from all of our contributors.
We’re looking forward to the event at the RMI Academy in Runcorn on the 21st of October, which will give an opportunity for independent garage owners from the north of England to experience the live demos.
The event will also provide valuable industry insights around new technologies and the chance to hear updates and ask any questions garages have for the DVSA.”
There will also be the opportunity for garage owners to learn more about the technical support that is available for independent garages through the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Alliance (HEVRA) and the opportunities that exist within the growing Hybrid and Electric Vehicle repair market.
Spaces for the event are limited, and IGA is encouraging all garage owners who would like to attend to secure their place by completing the registration form.
