The IGA’s final two Member Events of the year are taking place this month, with Slough on 15th November and Winchester on 22nd November. Read on to find out how attending can help your garage business and book your place, plus get your free tickets to join the IGA at Mechanex Sandown Park on 7th – 8th November.
November IGA Member Events
These complimentary events are your chance to hear current and common matters raised by garages with the IGA, how the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Alliance (HEVRA) can help you break through the getting started with EV barrier and an update from the DVSA.
Between them, our speakers have more than 100 years of experience in the garage trade.
During the evening IGA will cover a range of issues that we know are of concern to our members, including how IGA can help you access technical data on modern vehicles, what opportunity does the current car parc offer the independent garage and the lobbying work we’ve been doing on your behalf.
An EV repair expert from the HEVRA team will talk about how their support service can help, inform and inspire you to grow your EV business and prepare for the transition into the world of electric vehicles.
The events then finish with a speaker from DVSA who will give you the inside track on the latest MOT developments and take your questions.

Mechanex Sandown Park – 7th & 8th November 2023
Join the IGA at Mechanex Sandown Park this month. Mechanex is the UK’s only regional tradeshow dedicated to garage businesses, featuring industry leading brands, a full seminar programme, live tool and equipment demonstrations, on-stand presentations from leading market brands and exclusive show offers.
The IGA will be exhibiting on stand B30, so come along and talk to the team about how we can help your garage business, or ask your industry questions.
Our Head of MOT Technical Operations, Steve Coles, will also be updating the Mechanex audience on the latest changes and developments in MOTs on both days of the show, while our Head of Member Services, Frank Harvey, will be participating in a Q & A panel at the end of each day.
